SG Transmission Fire and Security Case Study
A leading turnstile manufacturer had problems in one of its growth markets. The company’s objective was to increase the torque on the gates, and therefore the brake, without having to increase the width of the turnstile, which was inevitable if the brake size was increased. SG Transmission engineers designed a multi-pole version from the standard brake. This increased the torque by 25-50% dependent on the particular brake size, enabling the customer to enter into a new market.
